HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We have an update to the dispute over drainage fees between Clear Lake residents and the city of Houston.
Councilman Mike Sullivan sat down with the city attorney and the Clear Lake Water Authority to work out a deal. Clear Lake residents are angry at having to pay Houston's new drainage fee even though Houston does not provide them with drainage services. Fees paid by Clear Lake residents starting July 1 will go into a trust until an agreement is worked out.
