Teen accused in hit-and-run that killed baby

DICKINSON, TX (KTRK) -- A teenager is facing felony charges, accused of a hit-and-run accident that killed a baby in Dickinson.

It happened around 6pm Sunday night on California near Park Avenue. Witnesses say the baby was hit by a Ford F-150 pickup and the driver took off. The one-year-old died at the hospital.

After talking with witnesses, officers figured out the driver was a 16-year-old relative of the victim. They found the teen at his address and he was arrested.

He's charged with accident involving serious bodily injury or death.
