Woman found dead in backyard pool

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A young woman was found dead Sunday in a backyard pool in southwest Houston, officials said.

The body was found at a home in Boulevard Oaks on Banks St. at S. Shepherd Dr. near the Southwest Freeway.

According to officials at the scene, the 24-year-old woman was a guest at a late-night pool party Saturday.

Police said another party guest returned to the house around 1pm Sunday to look for lost car keys and found the woman in the pool.

It is unknown how long the woman's body was in the water before she was found.

The woman is believed to be related to the homeowner, who is currently out of the country, officials said.
