Chase near NASA ends with officer-involved shooting

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Troopers have identified the driver who they say rammed a patrol car before leading authorities on a chase.

It happened around 9pm on Space Center Boulevard in Clear Lake.

Investigators say troopers tried to pull over Pamela Suertes for speeding down Space Center Boulevard. A trooper says when he pulled in front of her car and approached her; she drove into his squad car.

She fled the scene, but the trooper shot at her tire. The car came to a stop and Suertes was taken into custody.

She has been charged with evading arrest.
