Tomball police searching for attempted rapist

TOMBALL, TX (KTRK) -- Tomball police need help finding a man who they say tried to rape a woman over the weekend.

The attacked happened early Saturday morning at the Bridge Water Apartments. The woman says he attacked her just as she left her apartment. She fought with the man for a while then got free and ran away.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 20's, medium athletic build, standing approximately 5-foot-5. He is described as having short blond colored hair that is combed to the front and light colored eyes; possibly blue or green. The woman says the man has flames tattooed on the outside of both arms.

He was dressed in light-colored baggy blue jeans and was possibly wearing a tan colored T-shirt with black- and silver-colored design on the front of it.
