2 kids in CPS custody after dad leaves them in parked vehicle outside gun store in Katy

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two children left alone in their father's van outside a gun store lot have been taken into Child Protective Services custody.

Deputies were called to Tactical Firearms in Katy over the weekend by the owner who said the two small children were left for nearly an hour. The entire ordeal was caught on tape.

On Tuesday night, the 17-month-old girl and her 5-month-old brother were temporarily removed from their parents' custody. No word if any charges will be filed.
