HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police tracked down a chase suspect on the south side of Houston overnight.
Police say they spotted the suspect driving erratically and were trying to pull him over when he tried to get away. The suspect went the wrong direction on the feeder of the 610 South Loop before running into a ditch and crashing in a field near the Loop at Theresa. He then got out and ran away.
A K-9 unit tracked the suspect down. He was hiding in the attic of an abandoned home.
Police say the suspect ran because he had drugs on him.
