Police say Everette Haile of Houston is wanted for a robbery in Plano, Texas last month.
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston man is wanted in connection to a robbery in north Texas.
The robbery happened at a Family Dollar Store in Plano. Police say Everette Haile of Houston was dressed as a woman when he entered the store last month and demanded cash from the register.
"She was trying to get him the money and open the register. At that time, he became impatient and tried to fire a round, and that's when she panicked," said victim Michael Steeple.
Both the cashier and a second employee were trying to fight the robber. The suspect managed to break free and escape. One of the employees needed stitches for a cut to his head.
Police identified the suspect as Haile. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for any information that leads to his arrest.
