HCSO: Drunk man runs over, kills wife with truck

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a deadly auto-pedestrian accident that killed a 50-year-old woman and sent her husband to jail.

The accident happened around 10:15pm Saturday in the 18900 block of Shay Lane at Springlea in northeast Harris County.

Officials said 51-year-old Anthony Ray Miller and his wife, Karen, were driving through a neighborhood in Humble when they got into some sort of argument.

According to deputies, Karen Miller jumped out of the passenger seat of their moving pickup truck  a large Chevrolet Silverado dually  and was run over by the rear tires.

She died at the scene. They were only a couple blocks away from home.

Anthony Miller was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Bond was set at $500.

Deputies said this case remains under investigation.
