Sen. Mario Gallegos resting peacefully at Houston hospital, family says

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We have an update on a state senator currently in a Houston hospital.

The family of Sen. Mario Gallegos said he was resting peacefully Sunday evening.

He was first reported at Methodist Hospital in grave condition on Friday.

According to his family, he had a lot of visitors this weekend, including friends and colleagues. The community has also rallied around him in a show of support.
