Turkey calling contest held at Houston Zoo

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- With Thanksgiving just around the corner, Saturday was the day to practice your turkey calling skills.

TXU Energy held its annual turkey calling contest at the Houston Zoo on Saturday morning.

Gobblers young and old were invited to show off their best turkey impressions.

Before the public competition, our own Casey Curry and other local media personalities took the stage to give their best shot at imitating the Thanksgiving bird.

The event was a warm-up for the 20th annual TXU Energy Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, benefiting Sheltering Arms Senior Services.
