HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A driver may be injured after crashing a vehicle through a house in west Houston.
At about 4:20pm, the car went through a portion of a house on Overbrook Lane at Chimney Rock. Witnesses say the car was heading south on Chimney Rock when the driver began driving erratically, swerving left and right. He then crashed through some bushes and into the garage, and struck the back wall of the home.
Smoke was visible right after the accident, caused by the vehicle's spinning tires against some rugs in the garage.
Houston firefighters helped the driver out of the vehicle. They say he was walking, but was incoherent. He doesn't remember the accident, but has only minor injuries. He's been taken to an area hospital to be checked out.
Houston police are investigating the accident. The driver does not live at the home.
