KINGWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- A house fire in kingwood forced a couple out into the cold this morning.
The couple was asleep when the fire started around 1:30am. They awoke to the smell of smoke.
Officials said the residents ran outside and called 911.
When firefighters arrived, heavy flames were shooting from the roof of the home.
Firefighters got the blaze under control. They tell us the house sustained extensive damage, but it was not a total loss.
No injuries were reported and there is no word yet on what started the fire.
