Passenger killed in fiery crash on Highway 6

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating a deadly accident in west Houston.

It happened around 11pm in the 4000 block of Highway 6 near Pine Forest.

Police say a car was making a U-turn when it was hit by a truck and burst into flames.

Two people were inside the car. Both were taken to area hospitals, but the passenger died.

Police believe alcohol may have played a role in the crash.

The roadway was closed several hours while police investigated.
