Man found shot in the face on N. Houston street

  

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a man was shot in the face and left for dead last night in north Houston.

It happened around 11pm on Pecore near Northwood. Residents told police they heard a single gunshot before finding the man dead on the side of the street. Police say he was shot in the face.

Authorities are working to figure out who the victim is and whether he was targeted or if it was a random shoting.
