GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Galveston police are hoping a sketch of a suspect leads them to an arrest in an aggravated robbery that took place last month.
On May 14, officers with the Galveston Police Department were dispatched to a Bank of America parking lot the 6100 block of Central City Boulevard for a reported aggravated robbery. The suspect used a black handgun and got into a struggle with one of the robbery victims.
The suspect fired a shot into the front passenger door of the victim's vehicle. A victim reported minor injuries from glass breakage, but wasn't otherwise hurt. The suspect fled the scene with the victim's cell phone.
In an effort to identify the suspect in this robbery, GPD has released a composite sketch of the suspect.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, from 5'6" to 5'10" in height, weighing 130 to 160 pounds. At the time of the crime he was wearing a light colored collared shirt with buttons on front, tan slacks, dark shoes and a dark ball cap.
If anyone has any information about the possible identity of the suspect, they're asked to contact Detective Gaspard with the Galveston Police Department (409-765-3778) or Crime Stoppers at 409-763-8477 (TIPS).
