HOUSTON (KTRK) -- We've got a Crimetracker alert for residents in one Fort Bend County neighborhood, where authorities are searching for a group of men who barged into a home and robbed the people inside. It happened over the weekend in the New Territory subdivision.
Three men threw open the front door at the home in New Territory around 11pm Saturday, with at least one gun drawn, demanding valuables.
A victim said, "He had a pistol in his hand. He was waving it in our faces, told us all to sit down."
This victim was among four inside. He doesn't want to be identified but told us about the harrowing moments as the men rushed in as they sat talking in the kitchen. They'd left the front door unlocked after some friends had just left.
"It's pretty frightening, having someone just walk into your home and point a gun in your face, and take what they think is theirs," he said.
This victim, his brother and mother were all forced to sit on a couch and stripped of their electronics -- phone, computers, even his mother's purse. The men then left as quickly as they entered.
Interesting now, investigators say, is that they learned the men had knocked first on the front door of the home right next door.
Capt. James Burger with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said, "They made the statement they were there for the party. Homeowner told them, 'There's no party.' And they left."
It's not clear if the suspects were targeting a specific house or if they were just looking for an opportunity of least resistance.
Investigators have only vague descriptions on the three men two black, one Hispanic, and all three wearing basketball jerseys. One jersey was red and gold with the number 23, another was blue and white, and another of the jerseys was maroon and yellow.
If you have any information that can help detectives, you're asked to call Fort Bend Crime Stoppers.
