Two men accused in a rash of break-ins in Houston and Fort Bend County are now behind bars.

Ed Anderson, 33, of Houston, faces five counts of burglary of habitation. He was arrested Monday by Houston police on a Fort Bend County warrant.

Richmond resident Paul Brito, 26, surrendered on Tuesday to authorities at the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office. He's been charged with one count of burglary of habitation.

The burglaries happened at apartment complexes across Fort Bend County, including ones in the New Territory and Stafford areas. Detectives believe the two also are connected to two other burglary cases in Houston, and possibly others in Sugar Land.

A burglary of habitation charge is a second-degree felony that carries a sentence range of 2 to 20 years and may include a fine not to exceed $10,000.

Brito remains in the Fort Bend County Jail under a $100,000 bond. Anderson remains behind bars in Houston.
