SPLENDORA, TX (KTRK) -- Montgomery County authorities are working to learn who dumped a trash bag containing puppies on the side of the road.
A woman tells officials she was driving down Woodlane in Splendora when she saw a trash bag that appeared to be moving. She went back and found two puppies inside.
"She got them immediately from the side of the road where they were at, put them in the car and left to my mom's," Sherri Bessire said. "I came back and got the garbage and took pictures."
Montgomery County Animal Control now has those puppies. Officials say they are all in reasonable health. Investigators are now looking for fingerprints on the bag.
