HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston Fire Department captain was bitten by a dog while on a call this morning.
According to officials, firefighters were called to an apartment in the 500 block of Seminar Drive at Wayforest around 8:20am for a report of smoke in a unit.
When they arrived, the apartment door was open and a black poodle mix ran outside. A captain at the scene tried to retrieve the dog and was bitten on the hand.
The dog, named Krokey, was eventually located and returned to his owner. Officials said Krokey is current on all shots. No charges will be filed.
