No charges are expected to be filed, as police believe this was just a horrible accident
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A small child is reportedly in very critical condition after being hit and dragged by a car in northeast Houston Sunday.
According to police, a woman was in a car backing up when the approximately 2-year-old child broke away from a family member and into the path of the car.
The driver apparently struck the child, then dragged him for several feet before coming to a stop.
The child is listed in very critical condition. The driver is being treated on the scene after she understandably became very upset.
Police are treating this as a bad accident. No charges are expected.
