HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating a fatal wreck involving a bicycle and a Jeep in northeast Houston.
The accident happened around 6:30am at the 10000 block of Homestead.
Witnesses told authorities a white Jeep Laredo was traveling south on Homestead when it struck a bicyclist attempting to cross the roadway. The bicyclist was transported to LBJ Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Jeep did stay on the scene. The driver was questioned and according to authorities, didn't exhibit any signs of intoxication. No charges were filed in the accident.
The 27-year-old victim's identity hasn't been released. The investigation is ongoing.
