NEW YORK (KTRK) -- The search for a seven -foot sculpture of Gumby, a beloved cartoon dating back from the 50's, is underway in New York.
State police say the Styrofoam sculpture was yanked off its foundation and part of i's foot was left behind. Gumby's owner says he just wants Gumby to come back home, no questions asked.
"People come with their kids to look at Gumby and smile, and we miss him," said owner Bob Malkin. "Come home Gumby."
Police don't have a lot to go on -- just that it's a 7-foot green Styrofoam sculpture. They say they're confident they will be able to find the stolen Gumby and the person responsible will be charged with felony grand larceny.
