Brad Ausmus was interviewed for the Astros managerial job, but afterwards removed his name
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Over at Minute Maid, GM Jeff Luhnow tells us he's interviewed nine candidates for the Astros managerial job.
One of those, former Astros catcher Brad Ausmus, has removed his name from consideration. One report has two bench coaches as the favorites -- Tampa's Dave Martinez and Boston's Tim Bogar.
Luhnow will only confirm that he'll begin to eliminate candidates next week
