SIERRA BLANCA, TX -- A multi-vehicle accident in far West Texas has closed a westbound stretch of Interstate 10.
The Texas Department of Transportation says an accident involving at least five vehicles happened around 6 a.m. Thursday. TxDOT spokeswoman Blanca Del Valle says the area is about four miles east of Sierra Blanca.
She says several people have minor injuries. She had no additional information.
Del Valle says traffic could have to be diverted to a frontage road until Thursday afternoon.
Sierra Blanca is about 85 miles southeast of El Paso.
