SPICEWOOD, TX -- Investigators say two men have been killed and another hurt after their vehicle went off a 100-foot cliff near a Central Texas marina during a storm.
Emergency responders in the Austin area answered a cellphone call early Sunday from the third man who reported being pinned under the pickup truck.
The crash happened on a private road near where the Pedernales (per-duh-NAL'-is) River meets Lake Travis. The vehicle ended up about 50 feet from the water.
Names of the two men who died weren't immediately released. Lt. Kyle Swarts with the Pedernales Fire Department says the survivor was transported to an Austin hospital. His name and further details on his condition weren't immediately released.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office will investigate how the vehicle ended up going off the cliff.
