FORT WORTH, TX -- The suspect in the death of a 6-year-old North Texas girl is out of the hospital and in jail after receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the head.
Police say Tyler Holder was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with police serving him with a capital murder warrant.
The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office says the 17-year-old suspect from Saginaw was transferred to jail Wednesday. Bond has been set at $1 million. He's charged in the death of 6-year-old Alanna Gallagher, whose body was found wrapped in a tarp on a Saginaw street July 1.
Holder was shot July 23. Investigators say Holder shot an Arlington officer before police returned fire. The officer is out of the hospital, and Holder is charged with attempted capital murder in his shooting.
