1 dead, 1 hurt in Amarillo, victims in club lot

AMARILLO, TX -- Amarillo police have found one man slain and another hurt after a caller reported he and his father were beaten and the older person died.

Police early Monday responded to an emergency call about a disturbance at the Las Chakalozas Nightclub.

Arriving officers found an injured man doing CPR on another man in the parking lot. Officers say 57-year-old Lamberto Sifuentes died at the scene.

The man who was hurt reported being assaulted with some type of weapon. He was transported to an Amarillo hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Names of the two men and their relationship weren't immediately released by Amarillo police.

Investigators did not immediately report any arrests.
