A federal judge has sentenced a San Antonio man to five years in prison for downloading child pornography onto computers, including his father's National Security Agency laptop.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery called the material downloaded by 22-year-old Christopher Thomas Cardella "stomach churning," on Monday. Cardella had faced up to 10 years in prison.

FBI agents came to Cardella's home in 2009 to investigate the downloading of child pornography. A FBI agent testified that Cardella's father had turned in his laptop and a review found a program used to remove activity or material, which was a violation of government policy. Some pornography was found through a forensic analysis and more was found on Cardella's home computer. His father was cleared of wrongdoing.
