ARLINGTON, TX -- A man accused of trespassing has been charged with using spray paint to vandalize at least four North Texas churches.
Arlington police on Tuesday announced the arrest of 37-year-old Marcellino Tello. Video surveillance helped lead to Tello, who was nabbed Monday night outside a business.
Tello was charged with criminal trespass and four counts of graffiti to a place of worship. No attorney was listed for Tello, whose bond was set at $6,750.
Some of the graffiti was in Spanish and made references to death. Sgt. Jeff Houston says most of what was written made little sense.
Two Arlington churches were vandalized last weekend with graffiti written on walls and sidewalks. Two other churches were targeted since late September.
