Michelle joined the Eyewitness News team in 1998. Since then, Channel 7 viewers have followed her on trips to Israel, live on the Oscar red carpet, and her personal battle with skin cancer.Out of a love for reporting, Michelle shared her facial skin cancer story for both Eyewitness News and Good Morning America, and has received a number of special awards for the special report. Most recently, Michelle was presented with the Gold Triangle Award for journalism. After working on the Sunday Morning Show for three years, Michelle was promoted to Anchor/Reporter. Michelle came to WABC-TV from NBC-17 in Raleigh, North Carolina where she was a reporter/anchor for two years. Prior to that, Michelle was at ABC's WCTI in New Bern, North Carolina and WMGM in Atlantic City, New Jersey. After graduating from Duke University with a BA in public policy, Michelle studied economics in a graduate program on a full scholarship from the German government at the University of Freiberg. When Michelle can free some time from reporting, she likes to travel, read, and work out.
