Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith joined Eyewitness News in January 2007, and is the weekend morning meteorologist. He joined the Accu-Weather team after serving as a meteorologist at WTEN, the ABC affililate in Albany, NY. Prior to that, he was the chief meteorologist at WOAY in Oak Hill, WV.

Jeff is a native of Plymouth, Massachusetts, where blizzards and hurricanes sparked his interest in meteorology at an early age. He received his B.S. in meteorology from Cornell University. Jeff has earned the American Meteorological Society's Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation, a professional recognition of the quality of his weather broadcasts.

When he's not in the weather office, Jeff can be found at the gym, on the golf course, or just out taking in the scenes, sounds, and great food of New York. He currently resides in Manhattan.
