Fun in the Park: Things to do this summer in Central Park!

Catch and Release Fishing

Charles A. Dana Center (inside the Park at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox Avenues) Grab a pole and relax on the Harlem Meer while you wait for a bite from one of the many species of fish that live in its diverse aquatic ecosystem! Poles available to borrow; must release fish after catching them. Free for families and individuals; groups larger than 5 must reserve at least 2 weeks in advance. Adult with photo I.D. must accompany all children.

Tuesdays at the Great Hill
Thursdays at the Great Lawn (meet at Delacorte Theater)
Get fit this summer with innovative exercises designed by top trainers to utilize the Park's best natural features: rocks, trails, stairs, hills, and gorgeous open lawns. A variety of classes will help you to maximize your strength and agility, as well as increase flexibility and muscle tone. All fitness levels welcome. Space is limited to 20 participants per class on a first come, first served basis. Ages 18+.

In the landscape north of Sheep Meadow, beside Le Pain Quotidien (mid-Park at 69th Street) Sponsored by Bloomberg. There's no better place to take in a movie than in the heart of Central Park. This summer, viewers get to vote on which movies they want to see.
