NEW YORK (WABC) -- Eating too much fruit or vegetables can be bad for you.
A new study shows fruit and vegetables are responsible for 46% of food poisoning cases in the U.S.
The CDC says leafy vegetables are the most common offenders, particularly spinach and lettuce because they are often eaten raw.
Researchers say bacteria is not always killed on raw vegetables or unwashed fruit.
