Would-be thief spends 9 hours stuck under garage door

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Who says burglars don't use their heads?

A Massachusetts man got his head stuck in a garage door after prying it open while trying to break into a Rent-a-Center storage bay around midnight.

The would-be thief spent nine hours trapped between the door and the ground.

Manuel Fernandes was arrested and taken to the hospital.

Police charged him with breaking and entering and damage to property.
