CHICAGO (WABC) -- It was the perfect romantic and memorable marriage proposal. However, the only problem was, it didn't happen the way it was supposed to.
Greg from Great Falls, Montana proposed to his girlfriend, Erica at a Chicago Cubs game by using a scoreboard message in the middle of the 5th inning.
There was one major snag Erica got a little thirsty and left to go buy beers when the message popped up.
Erica missed the message.
Greg ended up waiting until the bottom of the 9th to propose in person.
Erica happily accepted.
