NEW YORK (WABC) -- The "D" Pet Hotel is considered the crème de la crème of hotels - for your dog.
They bill it as a luxury hotel for the distinguished dog. There are fresh towels, spa services and for the canine staying overnight....full sized beds with in suite entertainment. It's not for everyone but the owners are well aware, when it comes to pets, some people believe the more extravagant, the better.
Owners Kerry and Chris spared no expense, from the chandeliers to the doggie treats.
The paw-di-cure is just one service offered at the spa, inside the city's newest place for dogs to recharge their batteries.
Dogs rehabilitating from an injury or dogs that just need some exercise can come workout in the pet gym. Dog owners are referred to as parents and if they decide to leave their pets overnight they can choose from more than 50 downtown suites. Many of which feature a full sized bed - even a 42-inch flat screen.
The hotel also offers chauf-fur service, how about a Lamborghini pickup?
They're still putting the finishing touches on their 10,000 square foot space, which is modeled after the original location in West Hollywood. Prices range from $45 to leave your pet at the hotel for 6 hours up to $200 for an overnight stay in the Über Suite. They hope to open up later this month.
