Off-duty FBI agent killed in tragic motorcycle accident

Tuesday, May 02, 2006

An off-duty FBI agent died after his motorcycle slammed into a city bus on the Upper East Side.

Police say the 31-year-old agent was riding east on 86th Street near First Avenue just before midnight when he smashed into the rear of the bus and became lodged under it.

Rescue workers freed the agent from under the wreckage. He was rushed to New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The bus driver was being questioned. Eyewitness News has learned the bus was carrying on the passengers at the time of the crash, but none were injured.
