Eyewitness News(Morningside Heights - WABC, October 5, 2006) (WABC) -- A brawl, caught on tape at Columbia University, shows angry protestors storming the stage and disrupting a speech by an anti-immigration advocate.
Student demonstrators rushed the stage two minutes into a speech by Jim Gilchrist, the founder of the controversial "Minutemen Project."
Members of the audience then joined in sparking a melee with Minutemen supporters who tried to seize the demonstrators' banner.
"The Minutemen" are civilians who patrol the border to keep illegal immigrants out of the United States.
