Eyewitness News(New Jersey - WABC, March 28, 2007) (WABC) -- Investigators are on the scene of a deadly plane crash in New Jersey.
Authorities say the small plane went down in a wooded area in Howell Township around eight o'clock Wednesday night. The crash killed the pilot.
Witnesses say the single engine piper narrowly missed several homes before striking some trees. It burst into flames after impact.
Police believe the pilot was the only person on board.
