(Hoboken - WABC, November 19, 2007) (WABC) -- More racy photos have emerged from a hurricane relief trip made by Hoboken police officers, with these snapshots featuring Chief Carmen L. LaBruno.
The disclosure last week of pictures featuring the commander of the city's SWAT team led to the unit being disbanded.
The pictures of LaBruno and former SWAT leader Lt. Angelo Andriani were released by police officers who did not want to be identified to avoid reprisal, The Jersey Journal of Jersey City reported Monday. The latest photos were taken in February 2006 when the SWAT team helped provide security for Mardi Gras floats in New Orleans. One picture, at the Sidelines Bar and Grill in Metairie, La., shows the chief getting kissed on each cheek by two women. Another shows him posing with a female flasher, the newspaper said. Efforts to reach LaBruno on Monday were not immediately successful. His voice mail was full, messages for Public Safety Director Bill Bergin and city spokesman Bill Campbell were not immediately returned. Last week, LaBruno said the pictures of Andriani's SWAT team members partying with Hooters waitresses in Alabama were "embarrassing to the city." Bergin, who assumed his post on Thursday, disbanded the SWAT team on Friday. Andriani was sued in October by five Hispanic officers, who claim he is a racist who coerced four of them to work on his house when they should have been on duty. Andriani has denied the allegations.
