Doctor attacked at Brooklyn office

PARK SLOPE-WABC (WABC) -- A 70-year-old pediatrician was attacked, beaten and robbed by a man demanding money.

Police say the incident happened at about 9:45 Monday night at the Park Slope, Brooklyn, office of Vasudev Gabbur.

Gabbur, who lives in Roslyn, was reportedly working when a suspect knocked on the office door. When the doctor opened the door, police say the suspect punched him numerous times in the head and face.

The suspect fled the scene with $100, according to authorities.

The office is located at 398A 13th Street in Park Slope.
