A woman was died Tuesday after she was struck by a van in Brooklyn.
Eyewitness NewsBROOKLYN (WABC) -- A woman was died Tuesday after she was struck by a van in Brooklyn.
The incident happened at Atlantic Avenue and Flatbush Avenue just before 6 p.m.
Authorities say the 57-year-old woman, identified as Beverly Cattouse, was crossing the street when she was struck by a red 2006 GMC van that was travelling westbound on Atlantic Avenue.
An eyewitness says that the victim was thrown several feet.
The driver stayed at the scene.
Cattouse was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
