Monday, March 17, 2008

A shooting near a Jewish girls school in Brooklyn.

Police are investigating a shooting near a Jewish girls' school in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Police say the incident happened at around 3 p.m. outside the Be'er Miriam School.

According to the Yeshiva World News, a Web site devoted to the Chasdic yeshiva community, there are unconfirmed reports that one or more shots may have gone into the school.

Members of the Shomrim are telling community leaders that one bullet did penetrate an occupied classroom, but no one was hit.

No one was injured, and investigators are still trying to determine the motive and intended targets of the shooting.
