Eyewitness NewsUPPER WEST SIDE - (WABC) -- By some estimates there are as many rats as people in New York City.
They don't usually make news, until we see one in front window of a drug store.
Eyewitness News cameras spotted a rat inside a Duane Reade on 94th Street and Broadway on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Monday night.
We called the health department. They said they would send someone to the store to investigate.
A person working at the Duane Reade location claimed the rat entered from the street when a customer opened the door.
