One person dead in Bronx double shooting

Wednesday, August 13, 2008

A young man was killed -- and a 13-year-old was wounded in a double shooting in the Bronx overnight. Police are still looking for the gunman.

Police initially got the call of gunshots fired in the area. Investigators came out to check out the scene and what they found was two had been shot -- a 20-year-old and a 13-year-old.

The 20-year-old was shot in the head. Paramedics tried to work on him and rescue him but they could not save his life. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 13-year-old boy was less seriously injured, however he was shot twice-- once in the arm and once in the thigh. Paramedics rushed him to Lincoln Hospital where he is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the investigation will continue during the morning.
