NEW YORK - (WABC) -- Police said a man was hit and killed by a U.S. Postal Service tractor-trailer that left the scene.
Shakoor Khan, 75, died after being hit by the vehicle on Rockaway Boulevard around 7 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators said the truck kept going northbound on the boulevard.
No one has been arrested.
Police say Khan was standing in the crosswalk, headed home from a security job at nearby Kennedy Airport when the truck clipped him.
Abdool Karimbaksh, the victim's brother-in-law, described Shakoor Khan as a "kind, family man--married 35 years."
As the investigation continues, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Postal Service told us, "We have been contacted by police and the driver of the truck has been located. He's a highway contract driver with the Trojan Horse Company."
That's a subcontractor that helps move mail for the postal service.
Police said, upon further investigation it has been determined that there is no criminality involved in this incident.
