Water main break in SoHo

SOHO (WABC) -- A water main break caused problems in SoHo on Monday night.

The break occurred near Sixth Avenue and Watts Street, not far from Holland Tunnel.

Officials from the DEP were on the scene shortly after 10:00.

Several blocks were closed in the area, but damage appeared minimal and contained to about 4 blocks.

Sixth Avenue was closed between Broome and Watts street while officials worked to fix the break.
