Pair attempts to break subway record

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Two math whizzes are counting their calculations in an attempt to break the subway riding record.

Twenty-eight-year-old Chris Solarz and 30-year-old Matt Ferrisi say they have devised a formula to break the Guinness world record.

They believe they can visit all 468 subway stations in less than 24 hours, 45 minutes and 3 seconds.

The attempt began Wednesday afternoon at the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue station in Queens.

Stay with 7online.com for updates that Chris and Matt will be e-mailing in, along with pictures of their journey.
