Riders unofficially set subway record

Friday, January 23, 2009

Unofficially, they did it!

Two young men from the world of finance have broken the Guinness world record for time taken to visit all 468 subway stations in the New York City transit system.

Chris Solarz and Matt Ferrisi started their quest at 1:46 Thursday afternoon from the Mott Avenue Station in Far Rockaway.

They pulled into Canarsie at 12:25 on Friday afternoon, which is less than 24 hours and world record time.

The boys are going to have to document their feat with witnesses and pictures before they're officially declared holders of the Guinness world record.

Both use the subways to get to work during their normal, everyday lives.
